He attended Mount St Mary's School for elementary school. His father wanted him to also join the army. Khosla's father was an officer in the Indian Army and was posted at New Delhi, India. Khosla was born on January 28, 1955, in Pune, India. In 2021, he was ranked 92nd on the Forbes 400 list. In 2014, Forbes counted him among the 400 richest people in the United States.
